Funding levels for mainstream academies, special academies and Free Schools to buy in centralised services in 2012/13.

The DfE has set the level of Local Authority Centralised Services Equivalent Grant (LACSEG) for 2012/13. LACSEG is intended for purchase of services previously provided by Local Authorities (LA). It is paid per-pupil based on historical LA spending. The arrangements also apply to special academies and Free Schools.

The Government has made the following guarantees with respect to per-pupil LACSEG:

1) Allocations will not be reduced by more than 10 per cent.
2) Allocations will not fall below £100.

Further details about LACSEG are available from the DfE website, linked on the right.
